DVCon2006、サンノゼで2月22日より開催>>検証系EDAベンダを中心に計24社が出展

2006年2月22日より、カルフォルニア州サンノゼでDVCon2006（Design&Verification
Conference&Exhibition）が開催される。

今年で15回目の開催となる「DVCon」は、 LSIの設計と検証に関するコンファレンスで、主催者はEDA技術の標準化団体である「Accellera」。HDL（ハードウェア記述言語）およびHVL（ハードウエア検証言語）の使用方法がコンファレンスのメインテーマとなっている。

今回の「DVCon2006」は、IEEE1800 SystemVerilog、IEEE1666 SystemC、IEEE1850 PSLといった標準化を果たした最新の言語を中心に会期の3日間で、4つのチュートリアル、10のセッション、2つのパネルセッション、3つの組み込みチュートリアルが行われ、合わせて参加各社の展示ブースも設けられる。新たな話題としては、登場間もないVMM（Verification Methodology Manual） for SystemVerilogに関する発表が注目される。

また、会期2日目の23日には、ESUNGのJohn Cooley氏による「EDA業界お偉方パネル」（The Bigwigs Panel）が以下のパネリストによって行なわれる予定。
